Beach Cleans

I clean the beach myself every time I'm passing, and am a great advocate of Take Three for the Sea, 2 Minute Beach Clean, and other initiatives where we can all make a little effort to make a big difference.

I also lead beach cleans for groups of volunteers, school groups and community groups. The garbage collected is upcycled or recycled where possible, and disposed of properly as a last resort. As citizen scientists, we collect data for Marine Debris Tracker and Marine Conservation Society, which goes to help with scientific studies and to influence local and national policy.

I don't charge to lead beach cleans, and am able to supply necessary equipment and my time thanks to generous donations and my kind supporters on Patreon.

Workshops and Talks

I lead upcycling workshops, upcycling beach litter into art. These workshops are for all ages, and very flexible to suit your requirements. I can work inside or outside, and combine the workshop with a talk about plastic pollution and / or with a beach clean.

I've worked with community groups such as the Women's Institute, March of the Mermaids, Beavers, Cubs and Scouts, nursery classes, primary school classes, and groups of home educated children.

A two hour workshop is typically £40 for your group, but this can be reduced / waived if needed. This is made possible by generous donations and my kind supporters on Patreon.

I also offer talks on my work with plastic pollution, which can be tailored to your requirements. I also have access to several documentaries on eXXpedition which are available for viewing free of charge.
